-ONLINE COURSE INSTRUCTIONS-
Timer: The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requires that you spend
at least as much time studying an online course as if you were completing a classroom course
(minimum of 50 minutes study time per credit hour, or 6 hours and 40 minutes for an 8 hour course).
In order to meet this requirement, a timer has been added to the top and bottom of each course page.
You cannot progress forward until the timer runs out.
Next Page: The Next Page link located at the top and bottom of each page will be greyed
out and not selectable until the countdown timer runs out, at which time it will be selectable
and will take you to the next page.
Previous Page: The Previous Page link will take you back to the previous course page and
the timer for that page will restart. If you go back, you will not be able to select the Next
Page link again until the timer runs out, so if you go back you will also be rolling the timer
back on the course.
Sign Off/Log Out: You can sign off a course at anytime by selecting the log out link located
at the top right corner of each page. The last page that you completed will be saved and that
will be the initial page when you log back in to continue your course.
Note: If you have just finished reading a page and wish to log out, go to the Next Page
prior to pressing the log out button because the course will continue from the last
If you do log out of your course prior to completion, you can sign back into your course from
the AcrLearning main page by entering your login (user name) and password on the upper right
hand side of the page. Then select the course you want to continue by clicking on the name
of the course on the left side of the page . . . then select “to read the course” at the bottom
of the next page that appears . . . and you will be taken back to where you left off.
Security: Because no physical monitoring is required for online courses, TDLR requires
personal security questions that must be answered by the licensee prior to beginning their
course. These questions will appear throughout the course to ensure the licensee taking
the course is the person that signed up for the course.
You will not be allowed to continue your course if you fail to answer a security question
correctly. You will be notified of an incorrect answer and allowed to try again.
You will be allowed to try as many times as you need, however the answer must be the one
entered when you registered for the course or you will not be allowed to continue.
You can contact our customer service department at 1-979-798-4085 if you have any questions.
Review: TDLR does not require a quiz or final exam to pass this course. There will be
review questions at the end of each section. The review questions allow you to validate
that you are retaining the course material. They count as part of the required time, so
they must be answered in order to continue with the course, but they are not graded and
are strictly for review. There is no passing score required to continue or pass this course.
Full Screen Mode: You can press the f11 function key at the top of your keyboard
to toggle full screen mode on and off if you are using either Internet Explorer or
Mozilla Firefox as your browser. Pressing will remove the extra rows at the top and
bottom of your browser so you can view more of your course with less distractions.
You can press f11 again to toggle back to your normal view.
